Express Healthcare Staffing is seeking a motivated and organized Healthcare Recruiter & Staffing Coordinator to help place qualified clinical staff in per diem, contract, and direct hire positions across a variety of healthcare settings. Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day recruiting, staffing, and credentialing operations.
- Handle all communication with clinicians and clients via phone, text, and email.
- Support administrative functions to ensure a smooth and efficient work environment.
- Provide after-hours on-call support as needed.
Staffing & Communication
- Answer and respond promptly to phone calls, text messages, and emails.
- Document requests and availability of active clinicians.
- Manage open job orders and ensure placements are filled in a timely manner.
- Review on-call logs and ensure accurate data is entered into the applicant tracking system.
- Provide emergency staffing support after hours as necessary.
Recruitment
- Develop and execute recruitment campaigns via social media, job boards, fairs, and community outreach.
- Identify and fill staffing needs across per diem, contract, temp-to-hire, and direct hire positions.
- Cultivate relationships with schools, professional associations, and local organizations to promote hiring success.
- Maintain a sense of urgency and adaptability in sourcing candidates for hard-to-fill roles.
Credentialing & Compliance
- Collect and maintain accurate hiring and credential documentation using staffing software.
- Monitor expiring credentials and proactively request updates from staff.
- Run daily, weekly, and monthly compliance and credential reports.
- Ensure all active clinicians are compliant with client and facility requirements.
- Update documentation in all required systems including third-party vendor management systems (VMS) and applicant tracking software.
Reporting & Documentation
- Run and distribute daily staffing and revenue reports.
- Maintain detailed documentation of staffing activities and communications.
- Keep credential files accurate and up-to-date at all times.
Qualifications
- Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school preferred; OR
Minimum of 6 months of relevant experience in staffing/recruiting; OR
Equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to negotiate, persuade, and remain calm under pressure.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and database systems.
- Demonstrated problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills.
Physical & Job Function Requirements
- Able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds frequently.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a computer and frequent use of hands/fingers for typing.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Must be able to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Must be able to respectfully take direction from supervisors and leadership.
