Job Full Description
Express Employment Professionals is looking for experienced Commercial Plumbers for a company located in Layton.
This position will be responsible for completing ground-up commercial new construction projects, retrofits, and tenant improvements. You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of commercial job sites from light commercial office space to large industrial.
Responsibilities: Commercial Plumber
- Read blueprints and layouts to understand the proper position of pipelines
- Install, repair, and maintain pipes, valves, fittings, drainage systems, and fixtures in new construction projects
- Collaborate with general contractors, electricians, and other construction professionals
- Respond to, diagnose, and resolve plumbing emergencies
- Coordinate with other team members to ensure the efficient and timely completion of plumbing tasks
- Keep a record of all the material used in the work
- Perform routine inspections of the plumbing and drainage system
- Ensure all work meets building codes, safety regulations, and safety practices
Requirements: Commercial Plumber
- Journeyman License 3-5 years (required)
- Proven experience as a plumber, particularly in new construction projects
- Solid understanding of water distribution and disposal systems in new construction
- Ability to read and follow blueprints and rough drawings
- Skilled in the use of hand and power tools used in the plumbing trade
- Knowledge of building codes and regulations related to new construction plumbing
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a team and individually as required
- Exceptional knowledge of water heaters and ventilation systems
- Commercial experience
- Proficiency in basic math for measurements and calculations
Physical Demands: Must be able to sit, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, hear, talk, type, and write. Must be able to lift and maneuver up to 100 pounds. Must be able to work outdoors and in extreme weather (wet, below freezing, or above 100° temperatures). Must be able to climb on ladders & scaffolding.
License/Certification:
- Journeyman Plumber License (Preferred)
Schedule: Monday-Friday 7 am-3 pm
Pay: $30-$45 per hour DOE
