Express Honors Contingent Workers for National Staffing Employee Week

9-8-22-ASA-SEW-Graphic Whether looking for flexibility, a chance to gain new skills or stepping back into the workforce, Express Employment Professionals is proud to celebrate the country's contingent workforce as part of this year's National Staffing Employee Week, observed Sept. 12 - 18.

The commemorative week was established by the American Staffing Association (ASA) and recognizes the millions of temporary and contract employees working for U.S. staffing agencies each week.

According to the ASA, around 2.5 million temporary and contract employees work for staffing companies in America during a given week; and during a year, American staffing companies employ 13.6 million contract and temporary employees.

Seventy-three percent of staffing employees work full time and 64% utilize the industry to fill the gap between jobs to aid in landing a new one. One-in-five say they chose temporary/contract work for the flexibility it offers.

"As a leading global staffing provider, we are honored that nearly 600,000 job seekers annually trust Express to connect them with reputable companies, and they are never charged a fee," Express Employment International CEO Bill Stoller said. "Express' locally owned franchises are an integral part of communities and have connections to businesses that you wouldn't otherwise find sifting through thousands of online job boards and social media.

"Our diverse job assignments through hundreds of thousands of client companies offer something for everyone in the light industrial, office services, professional or skilled trades industries. With job openings continuing to outpace available workers, our recruiters are dedicated to finding applicants the right opportunity in their markets."
