First presented in 1994 and named after a mentor of the Express leadership team, the Gordon Blair Heritage Award is the most prestigious honor the staffing company bestows for significantly contributing to the overall development and success of Express. To be recognized, award recipients must demonstrate an unwavering passion for the power of service, generosity and humility.

"We are honored to present the Gordon Blair Heritage Award to someone who has been with us since the beginning and developed technologies necessary to support every aspect of Express," said Bob Funk, CEO and chairman of the board for Express Employment Professionals. "Terri follows the systems, leads by example and has earned the trust and loyalty of her team, Express International Headquarters and our more than 800 offices. She knows more about the inner workings of Express than anyone else."

Weldon joined the company in 1988 as a one-person accounting and information technology team, which has since grown to a full-service, 36-person consulting team. During that time, she has created internal documentation software, as well as the upcoming mobile app, ExpressJobs.

"She is dedicated to the overall growth of this company, and staying relevant with technology is a major aspect of this," Funk said. "She has been on the ground floor of development through every advancement we've made. Terri is truly an asset to Express and very deserving of this award."
