    In February 2005, Paul LaFrance opened the Express Employment Professionals office located in Rochester Hills / Shelby Township, MI. During the first year, the office achieved the second fastest growth in Express Employment history. In subsequent years, the Shelby Township office achieved the coveted Circle of Excellence award which is given to the top 25% of offices within Express.


    From 2010 to 2017, the office achieved Bronze, Silver, and Gold status (awarded to the top 5%). During the peak of the Great Recession in 2009, LaFrance acquired the Express office located in Troy / Auburn Hills. Over the years, the Troy office has experienced similar success. In December 2015, LaFrance expanded further by purchasing the Express office located in Clinton Township, MI.   


    In addition to owning 3 Express offices, Paul serves as the Regional Franchise Developer for the state of Michigan. Express currently operates 21 offices located throughout the Great Lakes State. Paul directs and leads the growth and expansion efforts for the Express Employment brand. In 2017, the Express Michigan group exceeded $100 million dollars in revenue and is still growing!  


    In March 2017, Express Employment Professionals named Paul LaFrance as The Franchisee of the Year at the company’s International Leadership Conference in San Francisco. LaFrance received this distinguished award among 800 Express offices worldwide. The Franchisee of the Year recognizes and honors franchisees that excel in building brand equity and a distinguished company reputation. The award was given due to their dedication to the company’s values of people, teamwork, and built to last integrity.


    Express Employment is also committed to giving back to the community through its philanthropic charitable giving and community involvement. The team is committed to serving others in the community.  Express offers annual support to The New Day Foundation, Interfaith Volunteer Caregivers, Children’s Miracle Network, Camp Barnabas, Cornerstone Schools, Epilepsy Foundation, Operation Come H.O.M.E., Mary’s Mantle, Rochester Area Neighborhood House, Special Olympics, and Multiple Sclerosis.


    Paul LaFrance proudly serves as an active Board Member for Operation Come H.O.M.E. – a non-profit 501c3 which assists military veterans and their families who are in need of support services such as temporary housing, counselling, and employment services.
