Job Full Description
This position’s main goal is to provide support not only to the Quality Assurance Department itself, but to the Company as a whole, by inspecting product at various stages of the production, assembly and packaging processes. In compliance with the Company policies and procedures, the Quality Assurance Inspector is responsible for ensuring that incoming and outgoing materials and products are manufactured, assembled, and packaged in compliance with Company and Customer predetermined quality standards. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Reads drawings and/or specifications to understand and apply the requirements of products. 2. Conduct inspections at all stages of production, including in-coming material, in-process inspection, and final inspection. 3. Perform accurate mechanical, physical, and visual inspection, utilizing various measuring equipment, in accordance with product specifications (equipment includes calipers, micrometers, tensile tester, etc.). 4. Documents inspection outcomes by completing detailed reports. Communicates the results of inspections and provides corrective suggestions to the Quality Manager and/or manufacturing personnel. 5. Must be able to read and understand product specifications. 6. Ensure calibration is performed, monitored, maintained, and documented on all inspection equipment. 7. Work with production personnel to maintain quality of product. 8. Follow all clean-up and housekeeping procedures. Comply with all quality, safety, and work rules and regulations. 9. Works independently and/or within a team on special/non-recurring ongoing projects. 10. Performs other duties as assigned.
