Job Full Description
Job Summary: The role of a Horizontal/Directional Drill Operator and Locator includes operating horizontal/directional drill rigs, locating equipment and product support equipment. Perform semi-skilled activities related to HDD locating must be familiar with industry standards, policies, guidelines, and procedures.
Schedule & Pay:
- FULL TIME; Mon-Fri, 6:30 am – 5:00 pm (regular time-and-a-half overtime pay!).
- $20.00 /hr. during training period; raise after evaluation period.
Here's What Your Day-to-Day Looks Like:
- Inspect the radial arm saw for proper functioning, including blade condition, guards, and alignment. Review work orders to determine the required cuts (crosscut, rip cut, miter cut, etc.).
- Adjust the saw's settings based on the wood type and cut needed, including blade angle and fence position.
- Carefully position the radial arm to the desired cutting location.
- Engage the power switch and smoothly guide the saw through the wood, ensuring a clean cut.
- Make necessary adjustments for multiple cuts on the same piece of wood
- Secure the wood piece firmly against the fence using push sticks or clamps.
