Pay Range: $20-$25 per hour
Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Trim Carpenter to join our team. This role involves installing and finishing interior and exterior trim elements, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and attention to detail. The ideal candidate has experience in molding, baseboards, doors, window casings, cabinetry, and custom woodwork.
Key Responsibilities:
- Measure, cut, and install baseboards, crown molding, doors, window casings, and wainscoting
- Assemble and install custom cabinetry, built-ins, and decorative woodwork
- Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and project specifications
- Operate hand and power tools, including saws, routers, and nail guns
- Ensure precise fitting and finishing of wood and trim components
- Sand, stain, and finish woodwork as required
- Collaborate with project managers, designers, and other trades to meet project deadlines
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow all safety guidelines
Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in trim carpentry, millwork, or finish carpentry
- Proficiency in using carpentry tools and equipment
Strong ability to measure, cut, and install trim with precision
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Knowledge of wood types, materials, and finishing techniques
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in various environments (residential and commercial)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality finishes
- Valid driver’s license (REQUIRED) and reliable transportation
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with custom millwork and cabinetry
- Familiarity with job site safety protocols and OSHA standards
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
