Job Full Description
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team and oversee the maintenance and repair of residential and common areas within our community. The ideal candidate will have 3-5+ years of experience in general maintenance, remodeling, or apartment maintenance, with expertise in HVAC, plumbing, electrical troubleshooting, and general repairs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform general maintenance duties, including painting, drywall repairs, and ceiling patching.
- Install and repair doors, trim, and baseboards.
- Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
- Respond to and complete maintenance requests in a timely and efficient manner.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure property safety and compliance.
- Maintain landscaping and common areas to uphold the community’s appearance.
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors as needed for specialized repairs.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- 3-5+ years of experience in handyman services, remodeling, or apartment maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical, and general building maintenance.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues independently.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent time management and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks, including climbing ladders and standing for extended periods.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Facility maintenance experience
- Basic knowledge of building codes and safety regulations.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
