Job Title: Call Center Representative - Inbound/Outbound Calls (Financial Aid/Admissions)
Location: Mesa, AZ (This is an ONSITE position, NOT remote.)
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM (8-hour shifts within this window)
Compensation:
- $17/hr initially
- $18/hr after 90 days and direct placement
- Performance reviews every 90 days thereafter
Job Description:
We are seeking motivated and dedicated Call Center Representatives to join our team onsite in Mesa, AZ. This position involves handling either inbound/outbound calls, assisting students with inquiries related to financial aid or admissions for vocational and trade programs. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a passion for customer service, and the ability to handle high call volumes. Whether assisting students with financial aid or following up on admissions interest, this role requires a professional, empathetic approach and the ability to manage objections confidently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inbound Calls:
- Handle calls from students seeking financial aid to continue their education in a vocational or trade program.
- Gather necessary details from students and provide them with resources and guidance to navigate the financial aid process.
- Assist students in understanding their financial aid options, application processes, and eligibility requirements.
- Accurately document all interactions and follow-up actions in the system.
- Outbound Calls:
- Make outbound calls to warm leads of students who have expressed interest in vocational or trade programs.
- Engage with students to assess their continued interest and help them move forward in the admissions process.
- Overcome objections and handle rebuttals, aiming to convert leads into students ready to move forward with admissions.
- Meet daily and weekly call goals, focusing on securing as many "YES" responses as possible.
Qualifications:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex information clearly.
- Confidence in handling objections and providing rebuttals, especially for outbound calls.
- Ability to manage a high volume of calls in a fast-paced environment (inbound or outbound).
- Customer service experience preferred, but not required.
- Proficiency in using computer systems for documentation and data entry.
- Positive attitude, problem-solving skills, and a passion for helping students achieve their educational goals.
- Must be available to work within the specified hours of 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
