Job Full Description
The Commission Payment Coordinator is responsible for processing, reviewing, and auditing incoming commission payments in accordance with company guidelines. This position involves managing commission schedules, ensuring accuracy, and contributing to various aspects of the commission process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate daily commission payments and input them into the proprietary software system.
- Reconcile carrier spreadsheets with payments, converting data into compatible formats for import into the system.
- Calculate and verify commission accuracy according to established commission scales.
- Ensure timely processing of commission data for weekly and monthly commission runs.
- Maintain and update commission schedules within the proprietary software system.
- Monitor and audit commission payments to ensure compliance with company policies.
- Analyze and maintain commission records by synthesizing data from multiple sources.
- Assist with various aspects of the commission process to support overall team goals.
- Report to Senior Vice President regarding carrier contracts, broker compensation, and company compensation structures.
- Organize and update carrier compensation information as needed.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of relevant experience in commission processing or similar roles.
- Strong mathematical and organizational skills with high attention to detail.
- Ability to type 35-40 words per minute (alphanumeric data entry).
- Insurance industry experience is preferred but not required.
- Proficiency in Windows-based software, including Excel and Outlook
