Job Description: As a Plumber/Pipefitter, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems and piping infrastructure in various residential and commercial settings. Your role will involve working with a wide range of plumbing and piping materials, including pipes, valves, fittings, and fixtures. Key responsibilities include:
- Reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems according to codes and standards
- Cutting, bending, and threading pipes using appropriate tools and techniques
- Assembling and installing pipes, fittings, and fixtures
- Testing plumbing systems for leaks and ensuring proper functionality
- Collaborating with clients and project teams to meet project requirements
- Troubleshooting and diagnosing plumbing and piping issues
- Repairing or replacing defective parts and components
- Conducting routine maintenance and inspections
- Adhering to safety protocols and maintaining a safe work environment
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Plumber and Pipefitter
- Valid plumbing and/or pipefitting license or certification
- Extensive knowledge of plumbing systems, piping materials, and industry practices
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Proficiency in cutting, bending, and threading pipes
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent customer service and communication abilities
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Physical ability to perform plumbing and pipefitting tasks, including lifting and working in confined space
