Job Description:
As a Journeyman Electrician, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems in residential and commercial properties. You will work with a variety of electrical equipment, read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams to ensure accurate installations and repairs. Your strong problem-solving skills will be vital as you troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues, providing efficient solutions to get them fixed promptly.
In addition to technical expertise, excellent customer service is a key aspect of this role. You will interact with clients in a professional and courteous manner, ensuring their needs are met and expectations are exceeded.
Responsibilities:
- Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems in residential and commercial properties
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams for accurate installations and repairs
- Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues, providing efficient solutions
- Provide excellent customer service, maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and within deadlines
- Ensure compliance with electrical codes and regulations
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment
- Keep updated with industry trends and advancements in electrical systems
Requirements:
- Valid journeyman electrician license
- Previous experience as a journeyman electrician
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent customer service and communication abilities
- Attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Knowledge of electrical codes and regulations
- Physical ability to perform electrical tasks, including lifting and climbing ladders
