Position Description
MRB Operations Specialist
This position is the primary point of contact for a high-risk business product line. The individual will be responsible for managing the relationships and day to day compliance as outlined in the bank’s policy and procedures. Additional responsibilities will include assisting these clients with establishing and managing their digital products and services.
Position responsibilities will include the following:
MRB:
- Provide customer support for book of business and includes new accounts and maintenance requests
- Assists specific business clients with wire transfers and other transactions
- Ensures all appropriate policies and procedures are followed during daily tasks
- Specific daily customer service tasks will include the following –
- Requesting wire documentation and validating prior to approval
- Processing drawdown wire requests
- Pulling core transaction data and images to prepare the analysts for monthly reviews
- Completing internal transfer requests
- Completing new ACH applications in addition to temporary or permanent increase requests
- Formatting daily MRB Vaulting report and providing to appropriate processor
- Assist clients with account verifications
- Manage client requests for stop payments, debit card maintenance, address changes and other items. (functions completed by retail but oversight by analyst to ensure compliance and dual control)
- Assist MRB clients in online banking technical support
Operations
- Manage all aspects of Day 2 processing:
- NSF/Exception Items
- Charge back processing
- Positive Pay exceptions
- Manual return processing
- Maintenance report reviews: new accounts, new CIF, debit card maintenance, and other related reports
- Assist with wire processing and balancing
- Process IOLTA reporting monthly
- Monitor daily ACH originations and resolve any pre-fund or limit issues
- Review GL balance reports and assist with reconciliation processes
EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 2 years banking experience required.
SALARY: Up to $65,000 annual starting salary (depending on experience)
EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent required.
SKILLS: Desire and willingness to learn; continuously seek self-improvement and must be comfortable receiving ongoing performance feedback. Ability to work in team oriented environment moving toward common and individual goals. Excellent interpersonal skills in order to effectively communicate with customers and teammates maintaining high service standards. Strong attention to detail in order to maintain cash drawer and adhere to all bank policies and guidelines. Ability to recognize and refer cross sell opportunities that strengthen customer/bank relationship.
