Job Full Description
JOB REQUIREMENTS
1. Training, knowledge and satisfactory performance of job responsibilities as outlined below.
2. Training and knowledge of the Cross Contamination Policy.
3. Training and knowledge of the following safety procedures:
b. Hoist, Sling and Chain
c. Pallet truck safety
d. Personal Protective Equipment
e. Machine/Room Clean out Procedure
4. Training in EPA Waste Handling procedures.
5. Training and knowledge of the MSDS information
6. Be able lift a maximum of fifty-five (55) pounds repetitively and handle drums from 100 pounds to 225 pounds.
7. Be able to work any shift and overtime as required.
8. Must be able to stand for up to eight (8) hours.
9. Must be able to wear a negative-pressure respirator.
10. Will be required to shower after every shift.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Responsible for dumping into the system.
2. Responsible to use care when moving any drums or supersacks; use proper and safe techniques to move
drums to avoid injuries.
3. Record lot number of drum or supersack after dumping and record only what you dump. Always check and double check for proper drum label.
4. Don't dump more powder then hopper can hold.
5. Always wipe drum off and out after dumping. With supersacks, check setup sheet for disposition of liners and sacks. Clean all spills up as they occur.
6. Don't dump any powder that is not labeled properly.
7. Responsible to communicate with Machine Operator on production line.
8. Responsible for accumulation, labeling, and sealing of containers filled with hazardous and non-hazardous waste materials during campaign runs. Also responsible for notifying waste monitor containers are ready for storage on waste pad.
9. Along with other employees, responsible in keeping the plant clean and orderly.
10. Perform other tasks as instructed by supervision or management.
HEALTH/SAFETY
1. Never operate any equipment that you have not been trained on.
2. All employees are expected to work safely at all times and follow all plant rules.
3. All employees are to report any injury immediately to Supervision.
4. Employees should make every effort to correct any unsafe conditions they observe. If not correctable, unsafe conditions should be reported immediately to Supervision.
Employees will be supplied with basic safety equipment and services such as:
a. Coveralls
b. safety glasses
c. gloves
d. shower facilities & lockers
e. respirator as required for job
The employee will be required to have on site one pair of steel-toed safety shoes to work in and clothes to wear under coveralls such as, shirt, pants, socks, and underclothes. These items are to be kept at the plant and will be washed on site. Almost all areas are heated and cooled but during winter it maybe advisable to have some type of jacket on site.
