Job Full Description
The Grain Monitoring Field Service Technician is responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining equipment for clients, as well as providing on-site training and troubleshooting assistance. The position requires significant travel (50% or more), climbing tall structures, and handling equipment in the field.
Key Duties:
Equipment Troubleshooting: Both on-site and over the phone.
Field Work: Climbing and working at heights (20-100 feet) on grain silos and other structures.
Safety Compliance: Adhering to safety protocols and using proper PPE.
Customer Relations: Demonstrating how to use equipment and building long-term customer relationships.
Reporting & Documentation: Creating service reports and tracking appointments.
Problem Resolution: Responding promptly to customer issues and providing equipment recommendations.
Requirements:
Education: High School Diploma (or equivalent).
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 55 pounds, work at heights, and travel frequently.
Skills: Strong computer, analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
Travel Commitment: Willingness to travel frequently, especially during peak seasons (June - October).
Driver’s License: A clean driving record is necessary.
