Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and licensed Apartment Maintenance Technician to join our team in Texarkana, TX. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the appearance, safety, and functionality of our apartment community. This is a full-time position offering a competitive hourly wage of $18 to $20 per hour, with a comprehensive benefits package.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and emergency maintenance for residential apartment units and common areas.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and other apartment systems.
- Respond promptly to service requests from residents, prioritizing emergency repairs.
- Complete preventive maintenance tasks, including appliance inspections and filter changes.
- Assist with maintaining the exterior of the property, including landscaping, cleaning, and trash removal.
- Ensure that all work complies with local building codes and safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with residents and management regarding service issues.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders and inventory logs.
- Be on call for emergency repairs as needed.
Qualifications:
- Must be a licensed Apartment Maintenance Technician.
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on maintenance experience in a residential setting.
- Strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC systems, and general apartment repairs.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment in a timely manner.
- Excellent customer service skills and a professional, friendly attitude.
- Must have reliable transportation and be able to report to work on time.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must have basic computer skills to enter maintenance requests and work orders.
