Job Title: Millwright/Welder
Location: Texarkana, AR
Hours: 6am - 4pm, M-F
Pay: $18-20/hour
Job Summary:
We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced millwright/welder to join our team in Texarkana, AR. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing machinery and equipment, as well as performing welding tasks as needed. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical maintenance and repair, as well as experience with welding and fabrication.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair machinery and equipment, including but not limited to conveyors, pumps, compressors, and motors.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform necessary repairs.
- Perform welding tasks, including MIG, TIG, and stick welding.
- Fabricate and modify parts as necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work performed.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and protocols.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a millwright or mechanic in an industrial setting.
- Experience with welding and fabrication.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
- Familiarity with various hand and power tools.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Must be able to pass a drug test and background check.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to stand, bend, and kneel for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to work in confined spaces and at heights.
- Must be able to wear appropriate personal protective equipment, including safety glasses, steel-toed boots, and hard hat.
