Position: Quality Assurance Inspector 

Location: Texarkana, TX

Pay: $15 will go to $17 once hired on

Hours: Monday - Thursday 6am - 4:30pm

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

 

The QA Inspector is responsible for the overall inspection process of packaging job ticket documentation, packaging line observations, and inspections which are not limited to equipment, components, in-process product, and finished goods.

 

The QA Inspector must have a general knowledge of cGMP and FDA regulations, and a thorough knowledge of company Standard Operating Procedures.

 

EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND ESSENTIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:

 

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication ability.
  • Effective reading comprehension.
  • Effective math skills.

 

JOB FUNCTIONS:

 

  • Perform daily scale calibration checks.
  • Perform routine inspections according to Mil-Std 105E on in-process and finished good items on the packaging and labeling lines or in approved areas. Inspections include but are not limited to; inspection of correct packaging components and DOT labeling as required, bulk products, lot coding and expiration dates, proper documentation of job tickets and log books.
  • Perform routine inspections of cleaned equipment, including but not limited to, portable fillers, tanks, totes, mixers, pumps, pitchers, scoops, bowls, etc.
  • Perform inspections on Contracted Manufactured Products and components to be used in house.
  • Complete proper documentation of all quality inspections performed, including any defects or anomalies that may occur.
  • Communicate to Management any issues or defects that are not within product, component, or SOP specifications.
  • Understand and perform all duties and responsibilities that are outlined in the SOP’s.
  • Facilitate an increased awareness of producing a quality product, which is accomplished by training and support.
  • Convey safety awareness to all packaging and labeling and production personnel.
  • Maintain a professional, cooperative attitude with all personnel. QA Inspectors are to remain non-confrontational and non-antagonistic at all times. Particular emphasis is placed on relating product defects to line personnel in a positive, constructive manner.
  • Perform Quality duties in the manner as a service to Operations to assist in facilitating the overall goals and deadlines required to complete jobs, without compromising quality, safety, SOP’s, or cGMP’s.
  • Perform other duties as deemed necessary by Quality and Operations Management.
