Cold Header Operator/Setup
Rate: $30- $35 / hour DOE
Schedule: 5:00 am to 1:30 pm
Location: Anaheim, CA
A Cold Header Operator is a professional that operates a cold heading machine. Heading is a process that includes forging, extruding and upsetting in one, allowing you to expedite the production of products like bolts, screws, and pins.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Able to setup and operate a cold header.
• Knows the proper operation of machine along with set ups, calibrations, adjustments and troubleshooting.
• Ability to perform minor basic machine preventive maintenance such as oil change.
• Ability to change punches and dies as well as perform adjustments as needed.
• Measure products with calipers, gauges, and micrometers to identify all manufactured products meet specified requirements.
• Ability to properly load wire onto machines.
Requirements, Experience & Education
• 4+ years of experience working in the field of cold heading commercial
• Read and interpret blueprints.
• Verify parts utilizing specialty measuring devices.
• Run a safe operation with proper guards, etc.
• Maintain a clean and orderly workplace.
