Position: Accounting Clerk
Rate: $25 / Hour
Schedule: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm M-F
Location: Anaheim, CA
Job Summary:
As an Accounting Clerk, you will be responsible for performing various accounting and administrative tasks to support the finance department. Your role will include maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and assisting with financial reporting to ensure the smooth operation of the company's accounting functions.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Accurately process and record accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions. Ensure timely and accurate payment of invoices and proper documentation of receipts.
• Enter financial data into accounting software and maintain up-to-date records. Verify the accuracy of data and reconcile discrepancies as needed.
• Monitor and record company expenses. Prepare and submit expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies.
• Maintain organized and accurate financial records and documentation. Ensure that all financial documents are filed and stored according to company procedures.
• Provide general administrative support to the finance department, including handling correspondence, scheduling meetings, and assisting with audits.
• Adhere to accounting standards and company policies to ensure compliance with financial regulations and procedures.
• Accurate process payroll time sheets and report hours to Controller. Manage employee vacation schedules and keep personnel files up to date.
• Maintain spreadsheets for daily and monthly reports.
Requirements, Experience & Education:
• High school diploma or equivalent. An associate's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred.
• Previous experience in an accounting or clerical role is desirable. Familiarity with accounting software and financial processes is beneficial. Minimum of 3 years of experience.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.
• Good organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive financial information with discretion.
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and proactive with a strong commitment to maintaining accurate financial records.
