Job Full Description

A successful Project Manager will work cohesively with co-workers, customers, vendors, and management simultaneously, under pressure of deadlines, keeping co-workers informed and motivated and resolve conflicts. The Project Manager will create and maintain project budgets, using mathematical and basic financial proficiencies. He/she will also analyze project and financial data on a daily basis, which drives important project management decisions; analytical and problem-solving skills are critical for the success in this position. in order to complete these goals, the Project Manager will:

  • Develop a detailed and accessible plan to monitor and track job progress
  • Establish goals and outputs during the planning phase
  • Coordinate changes to scopes, schedules, and costs
  • Measure project performance to budgeted and established goals
  • Manage budgets; report and escalate variances and issues to management
  • Assist in the management of resource allocation
  • Monitor shrinkage and misappropriation of materials and Company property
  • Monitor the progress and make adjustments as necessary to ensure the successful and timely completion of jobs
  • Establish a communication schedule to update customers, co-workers and management on the progress of jobs
  • Present reports defining progress, problems, and solutions to management and appropriate staff
  • Review the quality of work completed on a regular basis to ensure that Company standards are met
  • Monitor field workers' compliance with the Company's safety program
  • Assist Accounts Receivable Clerk in preparing project/ customer billings
  • Identify incorrect/unauthorized job costs and escalate for correction

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements

  • Must have clean and valid California drivers license
  • AA Degree in business management
  • Three to five years' experience in construction, preferably earthwork, paving, concrete
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, internet and the ability to learn new software
  • Have Osha 10 certificate and current CPR/First Aid certificate.
