Job Full Description
Express Employment is hiring for Production Workers.
Pay: $16/hr
Work Hours: Mon.-Fri. must be able to work Saturdays.
Work Location: Chico, CA
Job Description:
- Sort dried tomatoes, sort according to various grades of tomatoes as requested by the supervisor
- Fill containers with tomatoes, tomato sauce, salad dressing
- Observe approximate weight requirements during filling, weigh individual containers to net weight requirements
- Package containers into proper boxes according to the schedule
- Maintain heat sealer at the proper temperature, make sure bags are heat-sealed airtight
- Test periodically for quality assurance, check each box for proper label, pull date, count and quality
- Feed filled boxes into the Taping Machine, change tape rolls as needed, adjust taping machine to accommodate different size boxes
- Palletize products to order as instructed
- Operate hydraulic control to empty tomato bins into hopper
- Check for and remove foreign materials
- Regulate proper tomatoes, sauce, oils, dressing flow speed as instructed
- General labor duties
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Experience in food production
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
- Ability to work in a repetitive motion
- Ability to stand on feet for long period of time
