Express Employment is looking for an Electrical Mechanic.

Hours: Monday –  Thursday, 6:00AM – 4:30PM (work hours varies)

Pay: $27/Hour

Location: Oroville, Ca

Job Description:

  • Must be able to troubleshoot and maintain automated equipment lines plantwide.
  • May repair broken parts, using brazing, soldering, welding equipment, and hand tools.
  • May set up and operate metalworking tools, such as lathe, drill press, or grinder, to make or repair parts.
  • Installs and maintains diverse electrical systems.
  • Performs mechanical and electrical checks on motors, belts, and conveying systems.
  • Maintains and repairs electrical systems.
  • Reads wiring schematics and diagrams for all equipments.
  • Performs diagnostics and determines root causes pertaining to malfunctions on electrical systems.
  • Replaces faulty or expired parts.
  • Inspects designated buildings/electrical control systems to determine the need for maintenance and repair.
  • Detects malfunctions and creates and implements plans to resolve them.
  • Handles troubleshooting and repairing systems across a broad spectrum of facilities.
  • Completes work orders for both electrical maintenance and manufacturing maintenance.
  • Performs other duties as required.
  • Visually inspects and listens to machines and equipment to locate causes of malfunctions.
  • Dismantles machines and equipment to gain access to the problem area, using hand tools and power tools.
  • Inspects and measures parts to detect wear, misalignment, or other problems.
  • Removes and replaces worn or defective parts of the drive mechanism or hydraulic system, using hand tools and power tools and following blueprints, diagrams, and service manuals.
  • Realigns and adjusts components such as spindles and clutches, using hand tools and following diagrams.
  • Locates damaged air and hydraulic pipes on machines, and measurers, cuts, threads, and installs new pipe.
  • Starts machines and equipment to test operation following repair.
  • Comply with all Facility, State and Federal OSHA, EPA, FDA, HACCP, and SQF regulations.
  • Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Food Safety Procedures.
  • Comply with Safety Policies, Procedures, and Programs.
  • Follow all relevant Procedures and Work Instructions to ensure all job duties are understood.
  • Report food safety problems to personnel with authority to ensure the appropriate action is taken.
  • Conduct verification of monitoring activities to assure finished product comply with food safety and quality specifications, as necessary.
  • Participates in the yearly review of the food safety system.
  • Assist in the maintenance of Food Safety and Quality system

Requirements:

  • State of California Electrician Certification.
  • Proficient at fabrication and welding.
  • at least 6 years of industrial and mechanical maintenance experience
  • Understands basic heating and cooling cycle to include: identifying components in heating and cooling
  • systems and understanding how each component works.
  • Must have organizational skills.
  • Must have basic reading, writing and math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and
    percentages
  • Knowledge of machinery operations.
  • Skill to use a personal computer and various software packages.
  • Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives without supervision at times.
  • Ability to handle and resolve recurring problems.
  • Establishes and maintains permanent files.
  • The ability to organize, prioritize and own multiple tasks while meeting and/or exceeding deadlines.
  • The ability to learn and apply new technology, with the willingness to share knowledge with others.
  • Ability to understand, remember, and apply oral/written instructions.
  • Ability to communicate with others effectively.
  • Possess very in-depth knowledge and understanding of all components and theories of operation.
  • Understands basic electron theory, how electricity travels, AC and DC currents, single phase and three phase circuits, and series and parallel circuits.
  • Ability to read basic wiring diagrams. Understanding of Ohms Law.
  • Ability to use multi-meters to read voltage, current, and resistance values. Must be able to troubleshoot basic electrical circuits.
