Express Employment is looking for a Mechanic Lead.
Hours: Monday – Thursday, 6:00AM – 4:30PM (work hours varies)
Pay: $28-$33/Hour DOE
Location: Oroville, Ca

Job Description:
- Leads and Trains Mechanics: Guides and develops Mechanics in the Maintenance department.
- Ensures Compliance: Monitors adherence to company policies and all regulations, including wage and hour laws.
- Collaborates: Works with Supervisors, Managers, and contractors to ensure quality maintenance.
- Promotes Development: Encourages staff to acquire and enhance skills through training.
- Supervises Performance: Assists in evaluating Mechanics and supports hiring or disciplinary actions as needed.
- Technical Expertise: Proficient in troubleshooting and maintaining automated equipment.
- Directs Activities: Oversees workers in equipment maintenance and repair using work order software.
- Coordinates Installations: Organizes personnel involved in machinery installation.
- Diagnoses Issues: Helps identify malfunctions using observational insights.
- Manages Work Orders: Completes and oversees work order fulfillment.
- Other Duties: Performs additional responsibilities as required
- Adhere to Regulations: Follow all Facility, State, and Federal regulations, including OSHA, EPA, FDA, HACCP, and SQF.
- Practice GMPs: Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices and Food Safety Procedures.
- Follow Safety Protocols: Observe all Safety Policies, Procedures, and Programs.
- Understand Procedures: Ensure comprehension of all relevant Procedures and Work Instructions for job responsibilities.
- Report Issues: Notify authorized personnel of any food safety concerns to ensure appropriate actions are taken.
- Verify Monitoring: Conduct checks on monitoring activities to confirm finished products meet food safety and quality standards as needed.
- Participate in Reviews: Engage in the annual assessment of the food safety system.
- Support Food Safety: Assist in maintaining the Food Safety and Quality system.
Requirements:
- At least eight (8) years of experience in industrial and mechanical maintenance, including supervisory roles.
- Advanced Machinery Knowledge: Strong understanding of machinery operations.
- Fabrication and Welding Expertise: Proficient in fabrication and welding techniques.
- Computer Proficiency: Skilled in using personal computers and various software applications.
- Independent Work Ability: Capable of prioritizing tasks, working independently, and achieving objectives without supervision.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Effective at addressing and resolving recurring issues.
- File Management: Able to establish and maintain organized permanent files.
- Forklift Operation: Knowledgeable and experienced in operating a Powered Industrial Truck (forklift).
- Task Management: Organize and prioritize multiple tasks to meet deadlines.
- Tech Adaptability: Learn and apply new technologies; share knowledge with others.
- Instruction Comprehension: Understand and follow oral and written instructions.
- Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities.
- Leadership: Proven leadership and supervisory experience in a production environment preferred.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills.
- Workload Delegation: Prioritize and delegate tasks to maintenance staff.
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational abilities.
- Basic Literacy and Math: Proficient in reading, writing, and basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages).
Physical Requirements
- Involves using stairs, ladders, catwalks, and walking on uneven surfaces.
- May require working at heights, occasionally utilizing fall protection.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
