Job Full Description

Overview of Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for fitting, assembling and testing, electro-mechanical turnstile sub-assemblies and final assembly devices.

Direct Responsibilities:

  • Interpret instructions.
  • Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and drawings.
  • Read work orders, follow production drawings and sample assemblies, or receive verbal instructions regarding duties to be performed.
  • Order parts if needed.
  • Inspect parts for flaws and imperfections.
  • Mount assembled components on chassis panel.
  • Assemble electromechanical sub-assemblies.
  • Perform complex and repetitive electro-mechanical assembly operations.
  • Fasten cables and wiring. Connect component lead wires to printed circuit or routes and connects wires between individual component leads and connectors, terminals and contact points.
  • Computer installation of correct software version to turnstile device.
  • Position, align, and adjust parts for proper fit and assembly.
  • Tag or mark identifying information on parts.
  • Trouble-shoot electrical and mechanical problems.
  • Perform functional tests using various test equipment such as Volt/AMP meters,

Hi-Pot tester.

  • Inspect, test, and adjust completed unit to ensure that unit meet specifications, tolerances, and customer order requirements.

The appropriate candidate will have the following attributes:

  • Minimum High School Diploma
  • Previous experience in a related field and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Effectively read and write in English
  • Must have mathematical skills, i.e. the ability to add, subtract
  • Ability to read and interrupt bills of material and blueprints
  • Ability to use Test equipment, hand and power tools
  • Listens and responds well to questions
  • Participates in meetings
