Job Full Description

Technical Assembler to perform higher-level complexity electro-mechanical assembly operations by using hand tools, production machines and pneumatic tools in addition to troubleshooting. Job performance requires a general understanding of AC/DC theory and electro-mechanical design. Ideal candidates must do well with meticulous tasks that require patience and attention to detail in a dynamic workflow.

 

Responsibilities:
• Performs complex assemblies using CAD drawings, sketches, specifications, procedures, pneumatic / hand tools, and production machines
• Assembly of detailed wiring harnesses including: soldering, mechanical assembly, and end pin termination; use of digital testing equipment like multi meters and voltage regs required
• Pulls components per work order and bill of material and ensures appropriate stock levels
• Builds prototype and/or re-designed units per engineering instructions
• Tests products and performs burn-in operations and ensures all components are securely in place
• Generates Engineering Change Notices when needed by completing required forms
• Visually and physically inspects parts and tasks to ensure conformance to quality specifications using various measuring tools and addresses non-conformities; assists other assemblers as needed
• Performs testing via use of digital meters, voltage regulators, and software control
Requirements:
• 2+ years complex technical, electro/mechanical, or appliance assembly experience and/or equivalent time of related education
• Ability to read and understand CAD drawings, sketches, specifications, and procedures
• Must be able to communicate and read/understand instructions in English
• Basic computer skills to pull up drawings, sketches, and procedures from intranet
• Must be detailed oriented, accurate, productive, and produce quality work
• Ability and willingness to work overtime, when needed
