Warehouse Shipping & Receiving/Delivery Driver:
Description:
Receives or transfers merchandise to and from other locations. Stocks and maintains warehouse. Arranges delivery of goods.
Essential Duties.
- Shipping and receiving of merchandise
- Loading and unloading of trucks
- Examine contents and compare with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy of incoming or outgoing shipment
- Coordinate with purchasing department any product shortage or overages
- Prepare documents, bills of lading, and shipping orders to route Ensure all required paperwork is accurately completed
- Record shipment data, such as weight, charges, and damages and discrepancies, for reporting, accounting, and recordkeeping purposes
- Pack, seal, label, to prepare materials for shipping
- Requisition and store shipping materials and supplies to maintain inventory of stock
- Contact carrier representative to make arrangements and to issue instructions for shipping and delivery of materials
- Determine shipping method for materials, using knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates
- Establish and maintain good customer relations. Maintain neat, clean and professional personal appearance
- Operate forklift, pallet jack, hand trucks and other equipment as required
- Ensure all safety rules are strictly observed
- Perform general housekeeping duties as required
- Assume duties of truck driver when necessary
- Ensure all administrative and accounting related procedures are strictly observed
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor and management
- Must be able to work in a drug-free workplace

Minimum Qualifications.
- Computer skills or some knowledge of computer order entry system
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently and under some pressure to meet deadlines
- Ability to routinely lift 25 - 50 , and occasionally lift 51 - 80 lbs., frequent bending
- Ability to perform work during prolonged standing up to 8 hours
- Must be able to work overtime, when necessary
- Must be able to work with a wide variety of people with different personalities and background
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to operate in a drug-free workplace
- Must have clean driving record
Previous Experience Desired.
- Customer service or warehouse
Language Skills:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before customers or employees of the Company.
Mathematical Skills.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
