Part Time Warehouse Custodian
Schedule: 3 days / week
Pay Rate: $21.50-22.50/hour
Job Summary
Are you motivated, dedicated, and reliable? Successful family owned fabrication shop is looking to add a Custodian to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to perform a variety of cleaning tasks efficiently.
Duties
- Perform general cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming
- Conduct floor care activities such as buffing and waxing to maintain the appearance of floors.
- Wiping down shop tools and equipment
- Carry out industrial cleaning tasks as required, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Assist with facilities maintenance by reporting any repairs or maintenance needs promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness in restrooms, break rooms, and common areas to ensure hygiene standards are met.
- Manage waste disposal and recycling efforts effectively.
- Provide porter services as needed, including moving furniture or equipment when necessary.
Skills
- Proficiency in custodial practices and techniques for effective cleaning.
- Experience with residential painting is a plus but not required.
- Familiarity with floor care equipment and techniques such as buffing is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high cleanliness standards.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Good communication skills to interact effectively with staff and visitors.
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to cleaning chemicals and equipment usage is essential.
