Job Full Description
Express Employment Professionals of Downey is currently seeking a EXTRUDER MACHINE OPERATOR for a well-established plastic mold manufacturer in Paramount, CA.
SCHEDULE: Monday through Friday, 4:00PM - 12:30AM or 12:00AM (midnight) - 8:30AM
PAY: $21.25 an hour
EMPLOYMENT TYPE: long-term (temp to permanent hire)
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years as Extruder Operator experience REQUIRED
- Must be able to stand for extensive periods of time, able to lift up to 50 pounds, go up and down ladders to load material
- Understand the following: basic fundamentals, temperature settings, barrel settings, CAD drawings
- Experience working acrylics, styrene, ABS & polycarbonate
- Work well under pressure
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Attention to detail
Responsibilities:
- Operate a single screw Davis extruder machine
- Make necessary adjustments to barrel & temperature settings as different materials are run through the machine
- Understand basic operating fundamentals
- Read and interpret CAD drawings and TFX files
- Assist other machine operators when necessary
- Maintain general cleanliness of surrounding work area
- Other tasks as needed
