Express Employment of Downey is currently seeking a FORKLIFT MECHANIC for our client in the city of South Gate, CA.
PAY: $25.00 to $30.00 an hour (depending on experience)
SHIFT: MORNING, 6:00M - 2:30PM (Monday through Friday), possible weekends
EMPLOYMENT TYPE: temp to permanent hire
Responsibilities:
- Performs daily maintenance to equipment used in production cycle
- Assure Quality Control
- Maintains and performs daily safety check on all forklifts
- Makes repairs to all company owned vehicles and equipment
- ALL other duties as required
- Inspect/diagnose equipment issues
- Disassemble and examine parts for defects/excessive wear
- Perform necessary equipment repairs in a timely manner
- Perform required preventative maintenance
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year experience as a forklift mechanic REQUIRED
- Ability to use wide range of hand and power tools (drill, chain gauge, camberjack, grease gun, crimping tool)
- Strong attention to detail
- MUST be comfortable/adaptable to physical labor
- Must be able to consistently lift up to 50 pounds
