Operations Technician

Hours: Must be able to work a 24/7/365 schedule, including weekends & holidays
Pay Rate: Depending on experience
Job Description for Operations Technician:
- Perform recovery and basic maintenance on trains and equipment, including inspections of brakes, HVAC, air compressors, and other components.
- Recommend improvements based on maintenance, inspection, or troubleshooting.
- Follow safety procedures and technical guidelines for repairs and equipment maintenance.
- Operate trains and ensure they are serviceable before passenger service.
- Respond to emergencies and equipment failures promptly.
- Participate in ongoing training to stay current with maintenance and safety standards.
- Record maintenance activities in work orders/forms.
- Follow safety and security procedures to maintain a safe and reliable fleet.
- Perform additional duties as needed.
Minimum Requirements for Operations Technician:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Proficient in the English Language
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Must have normal color vision
- Must be able to work variable hours and shifts
- Basic mechanical or maintenance experience, understanding of use with general hand tools
- Basic computer skills, including a working knowledge of MS Office programs
Minimum Physical Requirements for Operations Technician:
- Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, bend, stoop and hear
- Frequently required to use hands to finger, handle or feel
- Regularly required to reach with hands and arms
- May be required to lift up to 50 pounds
- May occasionally be required to climb steep stairs and walk long distances.
- Work on elevated surfaces is required
- Work may be performed inside the facility or outside in various weather elements
- Able to observe multiple screens and monitors on a continuous basis
Preferred Qualifications for Operations Technician:
- 2 years electrical/mechanical experience or equivalent technical school training
- Intermediate level of knowledge of computer driven software applications
