Job Full Description

Role Purpose:

The role of the Line Worker 1 is to perform important jobs on the production line as a team member to produce the best products that our customers have known from the company’s brand. Each line worker will be trained and must demonstrate that they understand the task they have been assigned and support the objective of maximizing line productivity, decreased downtime, and quick changeovers and scrap reduction.

May Role & Responsibilities:

  1. Perform work center activities and tasks in a way supports the team at producing quality products and maintains line productivity standards that reflect company’s high standards for food safety and quality.
  2. Adhere to all GMP, FPQ, and HACCP requirements to achieve food safety standards.
  3. Maintain all equipment or processes in your area in a clean and organized manner. All food contact surfaces must be kept clean and free of contamination at all times.
  4. Observe and report any conveyer or equipment malfunctions to the Line Lead.
  5. Complete 100% of required Alchemy trainings (Personal Safety and Food Safety Training).

Skills:

·         Able to follow verbal and written instructions on work activities within the scope of the job description.

·         Be crossed trained on Line 1 & 2 work centers and be able to perform the tasks assigned in an effective manner

·         Possess the skills to identify and sort defects as they are found on the line. Able to pick out glass and material defects and sort them before they go down the line.

·         This person should be empowered to “stop” the line if they think something is wrong with the product or the equipment.

 

Education:   High School or GED Equivalent is preferred.

·         Attention to Detail – The products you provide should meet our exacting requirements and wherever you are assigned the work will be done exactly as required to achieve success in the workplace.

·         Safety and Environment Awareness – Attention to your surroundings so if anything seems out of normal, you will identify it and call your Leader to resolve the issue.

Work Environment:

1. The work environment is a food manufacturer. The Line Worker may experience a wide range of ambient temperatures and humidity levels in the workplace.

2. It is also likely that the Line Workers may be exposed to strong odors and fumes from hot peppers and other flavorful products processed within the facility.

3. The position requires lengthy periods of standing, walking bending stooping and using hands to sort product, top off jars, remove cores and perform inspection on the line.
