Metal Manufacturing client in Benicia is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented QA Technician to join their team. The QA Technician will be responsible for ensuring that products meet the company’s quality standards and customer specifications. This role involves performing quality control tests, analyzing test results, and identifying any defects or deviations from specifications. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine inspections and tests of products to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
  • Perform physical and visual inspections of incoming raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products.
  • Document and maintain records of inspection results, test data, and any deviations from quality standards.
  • Identify and report quality issues and non-conformances to the QA Manager or relevant department.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of quality control processes and procedures.
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Calibrate and maintain testing equipment and instruments to ensure accurate test results.
  • Participate in internal and external audits to ensure compliance with quality management systems and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in quality assurance, quality control, or a similar role in a manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with quality control procedures, testing methods, and inspection techniques.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to interpret technical documents, specifications, and blueprints.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficient in using basic measuring tools and testing equipment.
  • Ability to maintain accurate and detailed records.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
