Apartment Maintenance Technician
Position Overview
Napa Client seeking a reliable and skilled Apartment Maintenance Technician to join their team. This role involves maintaining the day-to-day operations and physical condition of apartment properties, ensuring a safe, clean, and functional living environment for residents. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a customer-focused attitude.
Key Responsibilities
General Maintenance
- Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on property infrastructure, including HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, and appliances.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues in apartments and common areas, resolving them promptly.
- Conduct carpentry, painting, drywall repairs, and minor construction work as needed.
Plumbing and Electrical
- Repair and maintain plumbing systems, including sinks, toilets, faucets, and water heaters.
- Address electrical issues such as light fixture replacements, outlet repairs, and circuit troubleshooting.
HVAC Systems
- Maintain and repair heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, ensuring optimal performance.
- Replace air filters and perform seasonal system maintenance.
Groundskeeping and Common Areas
- Ensure exterior property areas, including landscaping, walkways, and parking lots, are clean and well-maintained.
- Respond to and resolve maintenance requests in shared spaces such as lobbies, gyms, and pools.
Emergency and On-Call Duties
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests outside of regular hours on a rotating on-call basis.
- Ensure resident safety by addressing urgent maintenance issues immediately.
Qualifications
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in general maintenance, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and other technical areas.
- Ability to use a variety of hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and compliance with property maintenance regulations.
