Job Full Description

PAY RANGE: $22.00-$24.00
Key Responsibilities:
- Pulling and identifying metal.
- Operating machinery in the machine shop.
- Processing orders of structural steel and other metals to size for customer orders.
- Loading customer vehicles.
- Interacting with the Team in the Shop & Office.
- Ensure jobs are processed to timelines.
Skills & Experience:
- At least 1 years'' experience as a machine operator.
- Previous knowledge of Steel, aluminum a plus.
- Previous Sales Experience preferred.
- Good customer service skills.
- Answering phones, taking orders for walk in customers.
- Basic knowledge of computers.
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
- Accurately measuring with 1/16"
Equipment Used:
- Experience with accurately measuring with a tape measure.
- Operating machinery (band saws, shear, ironworker, or drill press).
- Operating a forklift to load heavy items onto trucks.
- Moving material by hand and Overhead Crane as needed.
Physical Requirements:
- Safely loading racks with stock up to 50 pounds in weight.
- Requires lifting and pushing 30-50 pounds at a time.
- Reaching, crouching, bending over and other physically strenuous activities as required.
- Working on your feet for an 8-hour shift.
Education:
Qualities Preferred:
- Excellent communication skills and teamwork experience.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- A fast-paced shop environment.
