PAY RANGE: $28.00-$30.00
Key Responsibilities:
- Knowledge of metal cutting machining procedures, shop mathematics, metal properties, and layout.
- Setup jobs and tools as instructed per shop order, print, and/or customer spec.
- Working with various types of fixturing, tooling, etc.
- Read and comprehend g-code programs.
- Must be able to read and interpret basic manufacturing drawings and understand basic Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance standard (GD&T).
- Make adjustments to the tool compensation values in the machine control to keep the machine features within process control limits.
- Optimize Speeds and Feeds to produce quality parts.
- Document changes and provide feedback to the Programming Supervisor.
- Measure, examine, and test completed units in order to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications, using precision instruments.
- Document in-process inspection.
- Report non-conformities to the Supervisor.
- Work directly with department leads and engineering to run part specific process instructions.
Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 1-2 years of CNC Machine shop experience.
- Experience with FANUC vertical axis machine preferred.
- Basic reading, writing, and communication skills.
- Previous experience as a Machine Operator or Machinist in a CNC shop preferred.
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED or Trade school diploma.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift, push, move upto 50lbs safely.
Equipment Used:
- Various hand tools, such as: Calipers, micrometers, scales, gauges, etc.
Qualities Preferred:
- Ability to comprehend written and/or verbal instructions and also have the ability to multi-task.
