A leading manufacturer of Truck-Mounted Loaders, Asphalt Patchers, and related equipment, seeks a motivated and detail-oriented Automotive Electrical Assembler to join its dynamic team in Fresno, California. This position is responsible for wiring truck and accessory equipment using 12 VDC circuit. This is a fast-paced job and requires attention to detail and full understanding of basic electrical 12 VDC circuits.
Pay: $18-$23/hr
Schedule: Day Shift
Essential Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Read work orders
- Trouble shoot and diagnose basic electrical circuits
- Read voltage, amperage draw, and resistance using multi-meter
- Read engineering blueprints, basic wiring schematics and diagrams
- Terminate wires using solder, heat shrink connectors, Deutsch connectors, and various automotive connectors
- Wire switches, relays, fuses, PTO, hydraulic valves, run wire harness, and integrate truck body builders with truck switches or safety interlocks
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
The desired candidate will possess these qualifications:
Education and/or Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent GED required
- 1-2 years in Automotive Manufacturing preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Must be able to work independently
- Detail-oriented and consistent
- Works well as a productive member of a team
- Ability to properly maintain and perform basic repairs on equipment
- Familiar with wiring taillights, work lights, arrow board controllers, and other truck accessory equipment
- Familiar with hydraulic system, fabrication equipment, and mechanical assemblies, preferred
- Able to follow proper safety procedures and guidelines
- Must be able to adjust to changes
- Highly organized and driven to meet deadlines
- Must be able to prioritize and exercise independent judgment
- Power tool experience preferred
- Basic ability in mathematics, reading, or writing
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
- Must have reliable transportation
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of standing and performing repetitive tasks
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs at a time
- Must have manual dexterity in order to assemble products or machines as directed
- Must have excellent hand-eye coordination
- Ability to differentiate between colored wires, tabs, and electronic components
- Ability to bend, stoop, and squat
- Ability to work with arms above head
Work Environment
This position typically functions in a shop or manufacturing environment. Due to the nature of this work environment, there is frequent, threatening exposure to health and safety hazards including forklifts and other moving equipment, noise levels associated with moving equipment and heavy machinery, working at heights, extreme temperatures and humidity, and dust, gas, and fumes.
