Oven Attendant
Sun Valley, CA
Full time – Temp to hire
Monday thru Friday - 6:30am to 3pm
$19hr to start.
Busy manufacturer and supplier of premium natural dog treats is looking for an Oven Attendant to join their team at their Sun Valley plant.
Summary: Seeking an individual to watch over, maintain and clean the ovens that cook dog bones. In this position you will be working outside, so must be ok with being out in the elements and getting dirty.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor ovens, make sure temperatures are maintained correctly.
- Make necessary changes to temp by opening and closing dampers for optimum output.
- Empty out grease traps as needed.
- Test products for doneness, check water activity.
- Turn off ovens when product is done.
- If oven breaks, need to move product from one oven to a good one.
- Monitor the pH, notify management if not normal.
- Check the boiler gauges and notify management if not normal
- Perform basic cleaning and maintenance of the ovens.
- Load ovens with forklift.
- Other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
