Final Inspection Detailer

Glendale, CA

Full time - Temp to hire

Monday thru Friday - 6am to 2:30pm

$20 to $25hr depending on experience

 

Busy Engineering & Manufacturing company in Glendale specializing in aviation components is looking for a Final Inspection Detailer to join their team.

 

Summary: The company is an FAA Certified Repair Stations specializing in the hydraulic component maintenance requirement airlines, repair stations, OEMs and distributors worldwide. With nearly 60 years of industry experience our company has established itself as a leader in aviation. Through decades of experience, they have developed a broad range of repair capabilities for all commercial aircraft types. A key component of this position is to improve workflow, implementing standard work and instill continuous improvement through problem solving methodology.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring that finished goods are retrieved from production.
  • Final inspections tasks are completed.
  • Issuing and reviewing FAA documents.
  • Ensuring that finished goods are retrieved from production.
  • Ability to read, digest and apply the CMM requirement as they identify, process and inspect the part.
  • Executing daily work plans for each department.
  • Provide performance feedback both formally and informally to final inspection detailer employees.
  • The ability to navigate the ERP system.
  • Ability to prepare unit to ship, i.e., determine size, type of box, and packaging, etc.

 

Qualifications:

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Able to fill out company inspection and production documents.
  • Must have lockwire experience.
  • Able to use a microscope.
  • High School Diploma or GED and 1- 3 years’ experience.
  • Capacity to use various measurement and inspection devices.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Manufacturing/quality field.
  • Experience with contract/purchase order requirements.
  • Proficiency using MS Windows, MS Office and Adobe software.
  • Able to understand and use SPC theories and functions and blueprints.
  • Good verbal communication, reading, and writing skills.
