Part time – Temp to hire

Flexible – 3 days a week

$22 to $25hr depending on experience.

 

Pediatric speech language pathology practice, providing speech/language screening to various private schools, preschools, and parents/caregivers is looking for and Office Admin/Biller to join their team in Glendale.

 

Summary: Seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Medical Biller to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing billing processes, ensuring accurate coding, and maintaining medical records. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology and coding systems, including ICD-9 and ICD-10, as well as familiarity with DRG systems. The Medical Biller will play a crucial role in the revenue cycle by ensuring timely and accurate billing for services rendered.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Review and process patient medical records to ensure accuracy in billing.
  • Code diagnoses and procedures using ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems.
  • Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies and government payers.
  • Follow up on unpaid claims and resolve any discrepancies or issues.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of medical billing regulations and compliance standards.
  • Communicate with healthcare providers, patients, and insurance representatives regarding billing inquiries.
  • Ensure that all billing information is entered accurately into the medical office systems.
  • Assist in the collection of outstanding payments from patients or insurance companies.

 

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in medical billing or a related field is preferred.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology, coding practices, and medical collection processes is essential.
  • Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are required to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with patients, providers, and payers professionally.
