Full Time Temp to Hire

Monday thru Friday - 8am to 5pm

$24 to $32hr depending on experience

 

A market leading chemical services company for many industries including metal manufacturing, electronics, food and beverage, personal care and industrial water treatment is looking for a Material Production Planner to join their team in Arleta.

 

Summary: The Material Production Planner will ensure all production planning tasks are well organized and completed in a timely manner as determined by management. Support the Operations Manager to establish and improve production planning department procedures and policies.  You will be responsible to learn, understand, represent and contribute to Company policies, procedures and philosophies, including completing all assigned trainings as required. Responsibilities:

  • Enhance workflow by monitoring and establishing new processes, maintaining control points, implementing cost reductions and fostering a spirit of cooperation within and between departments.
  • Completes product plans by scheduling manufactured items, establishing priorities, monitoring progress, resolving problems, and reporting results of the progress flow.
  • Ensure efficient product scheduling to maintain correct inventories.
  • Work closely with Customer Service to ensure customer service satisfaction.
  • Monitor production performance and statues to ensure the goods arrive on time, in the event of a problem, trace shipments and follow up on undelivered goods.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the department’s operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Update and maintain supplier lead times
  • Determine optimal inventory levels for multiple facilities
  • Plan and schedule finished goods/ materials to meet production and sales requirements as needed
  • Contribute to the development of inventory plans and manage performance to plan and targets
  • Assist with Inventory and management of excess and obsolete inventory
  • Analyze sales and usage history to identify trends which might impact purchasing requirements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional team members to resolve issues and streamline processes
  • Work with the Inventory Department to monitor shelf-life of all products
  • Adhere to all S.O.P.’s, Work Instructions, and Daily Check-lists are being followed.
  • Works with internal and external auditors as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

  • 4-year college degree preferred, High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Problem-solving skills are a requirement.
  • Solid understanding of production and planning concepts.
  • Proven experience in job role. 
  • Ability to operate both strategically and tactically.
  • Self-Motivated, enthusiastic, very organized & dependable.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work well with cross functional team members.
  • Superior attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • The ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment, be proactive and resourceful.
  • Excellent math skills and ability to convert from one unit of measure to another as needed.
  • Computer literate, including ability to use Excel, Word, and Windows at an intermediate level.
  • Ability to communicate openly with upper management.
