Electrical Maintenance Mechanic (La Mirada, CA)
$32.00-$35.00 per hour/ DOE
Monday-Friday 6:00am - 2:30pm
We are looking for a skilled Maintenance Mechanic with expertise in electrical systems to join the team. The position involves regular maintenance and repair to ensure optimal functionality of production machines. If you posses these skills, we encourage you to apply today! Maintenance Mechanic Responsibilities:
- Conduct machine setup, troubleshooting and repairs.
- Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.
- Removes defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools; examining form and texture of parts.
- Use of calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
- Some spot welding to repair machines.
- Controls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques; monitoring compliance.
- Fabricates repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.
- Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt.
- Provides mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests.
- Prepares mechanical maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- May initiate purchase order for parts and machines.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Maintenance Mechanic Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Mechanic, with a focus on electrical systems.
- Strong knowledge of industrial machinery and electrical components.
- Proficient in machine setup and maintenance procedures to ensure optimal operation.
- Ability to repair electrical equipment.
- Relevant electrical maintenance certifications are preferred but not required.
- Experience with spot welding is an advantage.
