Pharmacy Shipping Clerk (Whittier, CA)
$18.00 - $21.00 per hour, DOE
9:00am – 6:00pm / Monday - Friday
A specialty pharmaceuticals company in the city of Whittier is looking for a Pharmacy Shipping Clerk to process shipments, input medications into the pharmacy system, coordinate deliveries, and assist with inventory management. This role involves loading and unloading materials, as well as packaging and crating shipments in compliance with company standards. Pharmacy Shipping Clerk Responsibilities:
- Accurately input medications into the pharmacy system and store them in designated areas.
- Document and redirect all other items to their appropriate locations within the pharmacy.
- Assist pharmacy team in preparing and packaging bulk medications for distribution.
- Load and unload materials from skids, pallets, and stands.
- Package, box, and crate medications and materials in compliance with company standards.
- Coordinate with drivers, manage drug inventory, and oversee the packaging and delivery of medications.
- Communicate with patients, the sales team, and pharmacy staff to ensure timely medication deliveries.
- Unload pallets, replenish shipping materials, and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Provide team support by sharing ETA’s, order status, and inventory updates with PCCs and drivers to ensure successful deliveries.
- Log and document any unsuccessful shipping occurrences and forward them to the Logistics Manager.
- Collaborate with internal staff to resolve any issues promptly.
- Report any misconduct or unethical activities to the Compliance Officer.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by management
Pharmacy Shipping Clerk Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping, logistics, or a pharmacy setting is a plus.
- Ability to lift and move packages up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a team.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and inventory management.
- Previous experience in shipping, logistics, or inventory management is a plus.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks at once.
