Job Full Description
Welder/Fabricator - $24/hour to $30/hour
We are searching for a maintenance technician who can make repairs and maintain mechanical systems. The maintenance technician will assist in general tasks, such as clean up, light construction, and some mechanically inclined occurrences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce metal forms and objects based on provided specifications
- Reconstruct damaged articles made of different metals and alloys
- Utilize hand tools, fixtures, jigs, and clamps for small welding jobs
- Operate a torch to cut metal as necessary
- Follow diagrams or sketches to carry out welding tasks
- Weld and fuse various metals to meet strength requirements without causing distortion
- Regulate welding equipment for optimal performance and safety
- Work in compliance with safety guidelines and company policies
Qualifications:
- Have a solid understanding of various welding techniques
- Proficient in reading and interpreting diagrams, sketches, and blueprints
- Ability to handle welding equipment and tools safely and effectively
- Strong attention to detail and precision in work
- Physical dexterity and stamina to perform welding tasks efficiently
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Welding certifications and licenses are a plus, but not required
