Job Full Description
Express Employment of Long Beach is hiring Quality Technicians to maintain production flow through the inventory system while completing in-process inspections and testing to ensure product quality. This is a Evaluation Hire (temp to hire) position.
POSITION: Quality Technician
LOCATION: Long Beach
RATE: $17.50 - $25.00/hr.
SCHEDULE: Monday-Wednesday 6:00PM - 6:30AM and Thursday 6:00PM - 12:30AM (Off Friday, Saturday & Sunday)
Responsibilities:
Quality Technicians are responsible for product conformance. Product meets all visual and dimensional requirements.
QUALITY TECHNICIAN ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Perform AQL testing.
• Move product from production to finished goods after testing
• Approve batches, place inspected label with date and ID#
• Reject batches, provide disposition of rework, sort, or place on HOLD
• Inspect parts as directed through visual examination, conformity testing and gage testing (depending on the job requirements) to ensure conforming parts.
• Complete Quality Inspection Forms on a regular basis throughout the shift as directed; i.e. Shot weights, cycle times, part information.
• Ensure that Operators are following processes per the Work Instructions.
• Assist Operators as needed to ensure that Operators are producing Acceptable Parts
• Report all issues to Shift Supervisor as soon as possible (i.e. Nonconforming Parts).
• Verify each Pallet is properly labeled before it is moved.
• Participate in Process Improvement Initiatives; i.e. to Reduce Downtime.
• Perform additional duties & tasks as assigned by Supervisor.
QUALITY TECHNICIAN QUALIFICATIONS:
• Prior Experience as an Operator on the Production Floor
• Other QA Experience preferred
• Understanding of Basic Math Principles
• Must possess excellent verbal & written communication skills
• Must be certified as forklift driver
• Must have a valid Driver License to operate a forklift
