Job Full Description

The Supply Chain Specialist supports supply chain operations with inventory management, demand planning, and procurement across two business units. The Supply Chain Specialist will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing our supply chain processes, ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement, production, and distribution of goods. You will work closely with various departments to improve supply chain efficiency and maintain high-quality standards.

Essential Functions:

  • Monitors and maintains supply chain systems with an emphasis on inventory management and procurement.
  • Proactively maintains and refines inventory control strategies to optimize stock levels, minimize carrying costs, and prevent stockouts or overstocks.
  • Generates purchase orders, coordinates orders with vendors, and collaborates with the finance team to ensure timely payments and maintain accuracy of records in the ERP system.
  • Tracks purchasing costs to ensure adherence to allocated budgets and prepares reports detailing expenditure.
  • Collaborates with the production team to optimize manufacturing planning to reach set inventory targets.
  • Addresses and resolves discrepancies in the ERP system for both purchase orders and work orders as needed.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop accurate demand forecasts based on historical data, market trends, and upcoming promotions or events.
  • Provides support to all team members when needed.
  • Other duties as required.

Skills:

  • ERP system experience is a must, preferably NetSuite.
  • Must have advanced MS Office skills with emphasis on Excel.
  • Strong understanding of inventory management and demand forecasting, procurement experience a plus.
  • Possesses a comprehensive understanding of inventory flow across all stages of manufacturing and purchasing. Capable of identifying and resolving issues effectively and recommending preventative measures to minimize future errors.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data, draw conclusions, and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills, active listener.
  • Well organized, detail oriented and self-directed individual who can learn a lot and adapt to changing needs in support of organizational growth.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with both management and internal customers.
  • Strong problem-solving skills must be able to work independently to investigate and resolve purchasing, receiving, billing, & inventory discrepancies effectively.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years in inventory management / supply chain
  • Associates degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Management Information Systems, or related field preferred.
  • Must be able to function in a stressful environment, under multiple deadlines, and be able to effectively prioritize tasks and projects proactively and independently.
  • Able to support multiple projects simultaneously.
