Job Details

Custodian Responsibilities:

• Responsible for all housekeeping services in the facility.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms and lunchroom using established practices and procedure.
• Clean, dust, and wipe furniture; sweep, mop, or vacuum floors; empty/clean wastebaskets and trash containers; refill restroom supplies.
• Clean floors both in the office, and plant, and vacuum. Occasionally shampoo carpets with machine.
• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment (Tennant floor cleaner) and hand tools like vacuums, brooms, mops, and squeegees.
• Wash both interior and exterior windows and clean blinds.
• Follow proper instructions for handling chemicals and cleaning supplies.
• Manage recycled materials, including bottles, cans, and cardboard.
• Assist with inventory control and restocking.
• Safely operate job related equipment.
• Perform general miscellaneous duties as needed.

 Custodian Requirements:

• Must strong attention to detail with the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Must be reliable, punctual, and a team player.
• Ability to lift, pull, and push up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to stand during the duration of their shift, up to 12 hours and walk.
• Must be able to bend, reach, stoop, and climb a ladder. 
• Must be available to work overtime and weekends as needed.
• Have basic computer skills.
