Dispatcher (East LA)
$20.00 - $22.00 per hour, DOE
7:00am - 5:00pm (lots of opportunity for OT!)
Monday-Friday (rarely, the occasional Saturday)
A fine home furnishings company in East LA is looking for a Dispatcher. The ideal candidate has experience in dispatching, client care, and possess advanced Excel skills and is a standout in logistics coordination. In this role, you will be responsible for dispatching multiple truckload deliveries daily across the LA area, troubleshooting throughout, and provide excellent client care both by phone and email. Will be responsible for route efficiency and communication with drivers and customers. This growing company looks for experienced, driven candidates who like working as part of a team. Dispatcher Responsibilities:
- Manage high-volume of scheduling and problem-solving while deliveries are in progress with the highest attention to detail.
- Provide integrated, collaborative customer care to customers.
- Dispatch multiple truckload deliveries daily across the Los Angeles area.
- Coordinate delivery schedules to ensure timely and efficient routes.
- Utilize strong Excel skills, including pivot tables and Google Sheets, for estimating, tracking and analyzing delivery data.
- Assist with estimating delivery times and managing inventory levels.
- Communicate with customers to ensure accurate deliveries and resolve any inquiries or concerns promptly.
Dispatcher Requirements:.
- Route optimization/management.
- 1-2 years of experience as a dispatcher, preferably in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, and Google Sheets.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer satisfaction.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
