Job Full Description
Job Overview: The Mental Health Therapist will provide therapeutic services for individuals in various shelter, housing, and respite programs. Responsibilities include diagnosing mental health issues, providing therapy, crisis intervention, and referrals. You’ll work collaboratively with program teams to help clients achieve stability and well-being, playing a key role in the development of a Wellness Program.
Duties & Responsibilities:
· Conduct diagnostic interviews and provide therapy for individuals in need.
· Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in shelters and housing programs.
· Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with agency standards.
· Provide crisis intervention and coordinate with outside agencies for additional services.
· Utilize trauma-informed care in counseling sessions.
Qualifications:
· Current LMFT, LCSW, LPCC, or Licensed Psychologist.
· Minimum of two years of experience in mental health services.
· Experience working with vulnerable populations (homelessness, domestic violence).
· Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.
· Ability to travel between sites as needed.
Working Conditions: This role involves approximately 20% office work and 80% travel between facilities. Physical demands include sitting, standing, walking, and occasional lifting (up to 40 lbs).
